I compared it on tipis with one of the most popular velvet tops, this one is much less "fluffy" + very liquid, usually plush tops have consistency like milk base. I'd say this top would be good for reds (won't steal the brightness of the shade) and for nudes (will stain less). And lovers of velvet tops should look for an alternative.
